A few years back, we visited Disney World in Orlando. It was a nice trip, but the weather in Florida at the time was horrid - temps in the high 80s, humidity like I've never experienced before - and that's saying a lot for a Chicago boy. I spent most of the time at DW looking for fans and A/C. Miserable in sweat, we decided to look for lunch. Long lines everywhere, long waits or no openings at all for the restaurants. So I said, let's try the Castle. At the time I had no idea there was a 6 month waiting list to get a reservation. The ladies at the front door probably thought we were nuts when we stopped by and asked about a table for 3.
They quickly straightened me out and introduced me to reality. But the three of us were in a good mood despite the heat, and we joked around with the ladies. We must have hit a nerve, because one of them said, you know, we do have an open table for lunch, let me see if it has been spoken for. Well, it was open, and she offered it to us. In we went, had a fun lunch with the storybook characters, and walked away with a wonderful lifetime memory.
The original photo had some noise in the form of tourists, so I took the liberty of replacing them with more flowering bushes. I also added a slight glow to make the castle more fairy-like, and improved the coloring. Here's the original, before my editing:
And here are some photos of us enjoying our good fortune:
